Dr. Josef Mengele

Josef Mengele was thought to have been one of the most influential Nazi doctors that practiced during the Holocaust. Dr. Mengele, also known as "The Angel of Death", worked at Auschwitz and is famous for his medical experiments on children and twins.

Dr. Carl Clauberg

Dr. Clauberg also practiced at Auschwitz as an infantry soldier. His medical studies were based mainly on sterilization, and since he had obtained permission to perform his experiments on involuntary victims, he successfully sterilized thousands of women. He would inject acidic liquids into their uteruses, which would cause intense pain, inflamed ovaries, bursts and spasms in their stomaches, and vaginal bleeding.

Dr. Karl Brandt

Karl Brandt became a doctor in August 1933, and was summoned to treat Hitler's adjutants, who had been hurt in an automobile accident. Hitler was impressed by Brandt's work, and offered him a job as his personal physician. Throughout the Holocaust, Dr. Brandt became known for his outrageous experiments performed on young, blind children.

Dr. Herta Oberheuser

Dr. Herta Oberheuser focused on the experimentation on young children in Auschwitz. She often removed vital organs from their bodies to discover how long after they had been dissected would the victim live.

Dr. Eduard Wirths

Eduard was not a physician as the Auschwitz camp, he was a director. He would attend the experiments and give discipline, although he did perform a few of his own experiments. He was known for searching for a cure to certain types of cancers, but his experiments usually ended in death.

Dr. Aribert Heim

Aribert Heim was one of the most terrible Nazi Doctors that experimented during the Holocaust. He was said to perform most of his research without the use of anasthesia. He often injected liquids such as gasoline into their hearts, dissected them, and left them on the operating table to die. Dr. Heim also took the liberty of keeping one of his victims' skulls as a souvenier.
